Day 1 – Arrive Cairo

Welcome to Egypt!

Arrive in Cairo and be greeted in style with VIP Ahlan Service—be fast-tracked through the airport and whisked into the comfort of the private lounge, where refreshments and assistance await. With your entry formalities taken care of, your driver will escort you to the elegant St. Regis Cairo, your home for the next three nights.

The adventure has only just begun, but tonight is all about settling in and indulging in the luxe surrounds of your hotel.

For thousands of years, Egypt has been the playground of emperors and kings. Great civilizations have risen from its sandy interiors, and the Nile continues to bring life to an otherwise barren land. Much of the scenery has barely changed since biblical times, and the entire nation is wrapped in an ancient mysticism that has beguiled writers and romantics for centuries.

Overnight: St Regis, Cairo

Day 2 – Cairo – The Icons of Egypt

Today you’ll step straight into the pages of history. With your expert Egyptologist, wander among the legendary Pyramids of Giza—the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World.  Just to the east of the 2nd pyramid lies the legendary Sphinx, whose human face is thought to represent that of Chephren, acting as the guardian of the pharaoh’s enormous funerary monument.

Then you will enjoy an amazing, exclusive experience with the unique privilege of actually entering the Sphinx enclosure.  This exclusive access allows guests to stand face-to-face with the legendary monument, away from the crowds, and enjoy an intimate encounter with one of the world’s most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt.  Guided by an expert Egyptologist, the visit provides in-depth insights into the history, mysteries, and significance of the Sphinx, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to admire its grandeur up close.

Afterwards, discover the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to an unrivalled collection of artifacts, including the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun. From colossal statues to glittering relics, this museum is a breathtaking journey through time.

As the sun sets, an intimate invitation awaits: a private dinner with an Egyptian family. Share stories, laughter, and delicious home-cooked food while immersing yourself in the warmth of Egyptian hospitality—a true experience.

Overnight: St Regis (B / L / D)

WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?

This trip is for the open-minded and patient traveler. This is an adventure and best suited for those who enjoy traveling as a part of a small group. Egypt can be overwhelming for the first-time traveler. It is not for the fearful traveler nor for the person who is not open to exploring new cultures, trying new foods, or a schedule that may go awry. You should be interested in learning about artisans & crafts and be curious about regional culture and cuisine. There will be a lot of shopping, so this tour also requires patience.

WEATHER

October marks a transitional period in Egypt as the intense summer heat gives way to more moderate temperatures, making it an excellent time for travel. October sees a pleasant shift in temperatures, with daytime highs ranging from 20°C to 35°C (68°F to 95°F). Coastal areas experience milder temperatures, while inland and desert regions can still be quite warm. Nighttime temperatures become more comfortable, ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). Rainfall remains minimal in most regions of Egypt. While occasional light showers can occur, especially in coastal areas, October is generally dry with plenty of sunshine. Humidity levels are relatively low across Egypt, though coastal regions might experience slightly higher humidity compared to inland areas.

November in Cairo is a charming time of year that offers visitors a delightful escape from the intense summer heat. As the city transitions into late autumn, the weather becomes increasingly pleasant, making it an ideal time to explore the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Egypt’s capital. November is still relatively dry, but the likelihood of occasional rain showers increases. Monthly rainfall averages about 10 mm (0.4 inches).

    • Average Daytime High: 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F)
