@parwana.kitchen in Adelaide is owned by Zelmai & Farida Ayubi, who migrated from Afghanistan with their young family in 1987 at the height of the Cold War. They opened Parwana with a vision to share their family memories through Afghan cuisine.

Afghanistan has now fallen to the Taliban. Thousands of people have been unable to get out of the country and are now waiting nervously to see how the Taliban will govern. Kabul airport, currently the only way out, is rife with chaos & confusion. The Afghan government and its defense forces have collapsed & key leaders have fled the country.

This, without any shadow of a doubt, is a Humanitarian crisis. Over half of all Afghans are now in need of humanitarian assistance - so many being women & children.

I own this divine cookbook, and believe me when I say it is D.I.V.I.N.E.

Please do not get offended.
I am only trying to NOT curl up in a corner and rock..
Because I actually threw out a few pairs of Active Wear tights after last lockdown (got worn out from too much use!!! 🤣 )
So I have been caught short.
I am at a loss as to how to dress now in Lockdown.
I have no Compass!
Perhaps I should do some on-line shopping tomorrow....

I am acutely aware that Lockdown is different for everybody.

Some seem to flourish.
Some take it in their stride.
For others, it causes major anxiety and brings to surface a plethora of mental health issues, feelings of loneliness, desperation & loss.

Not everyone is in the same boat with this.
Same ocean? Yep. Same boat? No.
So please just be aware of that. ❤

So as the sun prepares to set on Day 1 of Level 4 Lockdown here in Aotearoa, I am grateful that I did my groceries on the weekend and that my toilet paper supply is OK...

Now, to layout my Active Wear pants for tomorrow....
